Hello. How is everybody doing? I am doing fine. I haven't been online lately. Well, its good to see that we are still getting new members. Keep it up Pinoys and Pinays. Well, currently, Flipnation has 1,379 page views. I hope that increases. Oh yes, ummm.... Noypi updated me and we currently have a plan to merge. So tell everyobody about it people. Anyways, I just wanted to tell you guys about the new section. It is called Member Artworks. Just send me a note of your artwork, and I will decide if it is good enough to be in the member's artwork section. We also have a new project up. That's it for today.

The new contest is finally here. You have to make an artwork about a Filipino hero. The rules are simple. Just make an artwork of a Filipino hero, like Jose Rizal or Emilio Aguinaldo. There are lots of Filipino heroes. Well, hopefully, you guys participate in this new project. THe final day to turn in your artwork is on June 10, so don't rush it. Winners will be announced on June 12. Don't forget, the winner's artwork gets a lot of exposure and the winner also gets that good feeling deep inside him or her and a hug from me. Just kidding.

History:

One day, when I was surfing a Pinoy friend's page here at DA (I wont' mention who he is), an idea suddenly popped up into my mind. I thought, "Since there are a lot of good Filipino artists here at Deviant Art, why don't I make an art group about the Flips here." I asked a couple people and they agreed that there should be an art group showcasing us Filipinos. Then, I started to think of a name. My sister suggested Flip Squad and Flip Nation, and I chose Flip Nation.

Purpose:

Flip Nation's main purpose is to give Filipino artists here at DA some exposure. So if you want to get a lot of page views, and if you want to get respect around here at DA, why not join the Flip Nation? So what are you waiting for? Go ahead and join the Nation! FLIP NATION!

Requirements:

The only requirement is that you have to have some Filipino in you. You can be Flipanese, Flip Americans, I don't care. Just as long as you are part Flip, you can join. This is in no way a racist requirement. To all you non-Flips, you can join too. But you will be in the Filipino supporters category. Another thing. You must put up our icon on your signature. This is not mandatory. You do not have to if you don't want to.

To join, you need to drop me a note or you just leave a deviant comment. I will try to put your icon up as soon as I can, since I update the site once a day.
